According to a Pew Research Center survey of parents with children under the age of 18, dads are just as likely as moms to say that parenting is extremely important to their identity.

A slightly higher percentage of fathers report that parenting is rewarding or enjoyable all of the time. This study also shows a marked increase in the amount of time fathers spend on child care.
